Lundin Petroleum has recently completed the development of a number of projects in Norway. The completion to production of the giant Johan Sverdrup project will be the main focus in the near term.
Johan Sverdrup – a world class project
The PDO for Phase 1 of the giant Johan Sverdrup development received final approval in August 2015. Construction and installation of all four Phase 1 platforms has been completed, with first oil scheduled to come on stream in November 2019, with gross plateau production estimated to be 440,000 barrels of oil per day. Full field development is scheduled for completion in Q4 2022, raising the gross plateau production to 660,000 barrels of oil per day.
Edvard Grieg – keeping the facilities full
A pipeline of future development opportunities have been identified to keep the Edvard Grieg facilities full for the long-term. During 2019, three projects have been sanctioned in the Greater Edvard Grieg Area: the Edvard Grieg infill well programme, the Solveig project and the Rolvsnes extended well test.
