Tim Coulter

Vice President Operations

Tim Coulter is responsible for engineering, drilling and production operations for the Lundin Petroleum group of companies.

 

Born in Saudi Arabia in 1953, Tim Coulter is a graduate of the University of Washington in Seattle where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology and Stanford University, California where he obtained a Masters of Science in Petroleum Engineering.

Beginning in 1975 with Fluor Alaska , he worked 3 years on the construction of the Trans Alaska Pipeline before taking his first international assignment in 1978 to Indonesia. Tim Coulter moved to Norway in 1984 where he worked in various Petroleum Engineering positions for Statoil where he was expatriated to China and Thailand during the internationalization of the company. His responsibilities included acquisitions, PSA negotiations and field development and operations. Tim Coulter joined Smedvig Offshore in the UK in 1997 and then later with CMS Nomeco, Dragon Oil and AgipKCO in West Africa and the Caspian region. Tim Coulter has worked with both subsurface and surface engineering projects worldwide with particular emphasis on field development projects including drilling, construction and production and maintenance operations both onshore and offshore. He has extensive experience with floating production systems.

Tim Coulter joined Lundin Petroleum in 2005 as Vice President Operations.
